*Due to Haemophilus influenzae (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), Moraxella catarrhalis (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), or Streptococcus pneumoniae (penicillin-susceptible strains only).

For patients with previous hypersensitivity reactions to penicillins, cephalosporins, or other drugs, caution should be exercised because of documented cross-hypersensitivity among ß-lactam agents. If an allergic reaction to CEDAX occurs, discontinue the drug.
