*Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

Due to H influenzae (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), M catarrhalis (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), or S pneumoniae (penicillin-susceptible strains only).

Acute otitis media.

§Due to H influenzae (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), M catarrhalis (including ß-lactamase–producing strains), or S pyogenes.

IIDue to S pyogenes.

For patients with previous hypersensitivity reactions to penicillins, cephalosporins, or other drugs, caution should be exercised because of documented cross-hypersensitivity among ß-lactam agents. If an allergic reaction to CEDAX occurs, discontinue the drug.
